Associate Professor

Venkata Damarla graduated in 2003, with Masters Degree in Audiology, from University of Mysore, India. After his Graduation, he has been working in the field of audiology in different roles such as, Clinical Audiologist, lecturer, Asst. Professor. Currently he is working as Asst Professor in the Dept of Audiology, MAA Institute of Speech & Hearing. He is involved in teaching Audiology Courses to graduate students and undertaken research projects. His teaching and research interests are Amplification technology and measurements, electro-physiology and psychoacoustics.

Current Research Projects:
  1.   Electrode impedances in children with cochlear implants: Comparison between Intra-Operative Switch-On and Post Operative Switch-on.
  2.   Improving the outcomes of children with cochlear implant.
  3.   Comparison of ABR and ASSR results in children (0-5 years) with different severity of hearing loss.
